Compassionately challenging

Do you ever think that if you just keep going, keep trying, keep pushing that some day you will feel accomplished, arrived, proud?

This used to be my mindset.

I literally was just laughing with my brother that the motto for our family was….try harder.

Before I became a coach I owned and operated the family health and racquet club for over 34 years with my husband.

I was good at what I did.

I am not bragging, I just worked really hard to learn, grow, systemize, and never give up.

BUT, I wish I knew then what I have learned since selling our business. This was a picture of me before:

  • I challenged myself just about ever damn day, but I DID NOT do it from a place of compassion.

  • I challenged myself and was good at what I did from a place of FEAR. I was afraid that someone was going to peak behind the curtain and find out I really didn't know what I was doing.

I have since learned to compassionately challenge myself. And I want you to learn to do it for yourself too.

Compassionately challenging yourself is deciding to do something hard from a place of self-love.

Let me give you an example.....

I ride a Peloton bike and recently road a 45 minute power zone ride.

It was a hard ride, but I wanted to challenge myself, so I was good with that because I wanted to strengthen my cardiovascular range.

This is a picture of compassionately challenging myself because I knew and liked my WHY. It was based in honoring, caring, and meeting myself right where I was. It was NOT based in pushing, ignoring and hating my shortcomings or my body.

Before, when I was working and I challenged myself it was for everyone else, my members, my employees, and yes for myself too, but that was the smallest slice.

My why was fear.

Do you see the difference?

It feels amazing to understand and recognize that I have a choice. ❤️

You can do it too.

What if feeling better could really be done without a lot of drama?

What if it really could be super simple?

  • Coaching gets you to a place where you can see your patterns of thinking that are no longer serving you.

  • Coaching gets you to a place where you begin to feel better, happier, and from that place more amazing to be around for those that you love.

If you actually did this work, what would your life look like?

How would it be different?

How would you begin to feel about yourself, your job, your relationships?

Take the time to answer these questions for yourself. You are worth the effort.

I'm ready, are you?
